On to other things, and Andrea made today's post over at It's A Creative World - a card-making class which promised to produce a beautiful card in roughly 20 minutes. I put this to the test this afternoon, and can highly recommend it if you need a fab card in a hurry - it was SO easy to do, thanks to Andrea's great instructions, and I'm really pleased with how mine turned out.
We had a slight trauma in the blossom trail household this afternoon - I had taken the girls to meet friends of ours for a pub tea (for the children) after their swimming lesson. There is a smashing pub a short car ride away with a fantastic wooden playground for the children, set in a 1/4 acre field. Just as we were preparing to leave, I asked F where her hearing aid was - not in her ear, it turned out. I then had the somewhat formidable task of combing the field trying to find something not much bigger than a child's little finger!! Anyway, after 25 frantic, yet methodical minutes' searching, I found it, underneath the monkey bars!! I can't tell you how elated I felt - we don't have a spare, and I know there would have been a wait for a replacement. It's amazing how much of a boost you can get from finding something you thought you'd lost.
