*and the sun shone...*

Hasn't it been gorgeous today! Was moved to slap factor 50 all over the children, because it was so very hot, but it really has been a beautiful day. We spent a good portion of the day at Ed's parents' house for their joint 60th birthday celebrations. Ed was supposed to be photographing the event, but we seem to have a dearth of photos, none of either of the birthday people, none of A, and none of me!! Never mind... It was almost too hot to do anything, and thankfully there was ample shade, and we had a super day. A couple of shots from this afternoon, the first one of F wearing Ed's cousin's cowboy hat, and the second one of F with her little cousin, who thinks she is the best thing since sliced bread, and cries every time we have to say goodbye, bless him.

I don't think A was still long enough to photograph...

The prompt at her space:my space today is 'plug'. I am really enjoying participating in this daily task, it makes you take a second look at the space around you. Anyway, here is my effort:

I made a card for my MIL, and I'll post a photo here, as a little taster of a post that Di will be making over at It's A Creative World early next week; it's not a card-making slot, so I'm not giving anything away, but Di has got some fab tips and hints, so be sure to check in!

Talking of It's A Creative World, anyone leaving a comment on today's post at IACW will be entered into a draw to win a fabulous kit from Scrapbook Central, who are also offering readers of the blog a 15% discount for the whole of this week - check out the blog for the discount code.

Finally this evening, top of the girls' t.v. viewing schedule for the week is Dr Who - they don't watch any television during the week, so Saturday evenings are eagerly anticipated, and everything stops for the Doctor! They say it's NOT scary...

Dr Who used to scare the living daylights out of me too, but I loved it anyway.

That is a fab photo of a very ordinary object :-)

Blimey - I wouldn't dare let mine watch Dr Who - we'd have nightmares at 2am all week... Strictly mummy and daddy TV here ;)

Great plug shot - excellent angle.

Lovely pics and sounds like a super day.

We're a Dr Who free house so it all goes over our heads.

Happy Saturday xxx

*I* was scared of Doctor Who this week - those angels were creepy! Your children clearly have great taste in TV... fantastic pictures!
