I have now sent both Annie's and Sue's journals to Charlotte, and can relax for a little while until the next couple roll on through!
Kirsty and I took the girls to The Ark Animal Sanctuary at Twyford, near Evesham, and they had a fantastic time. We saw goats, enORmous pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes, spiders, chinchillas, meerkats, Shetland ponies, tortoises...and the girls were able to feed a deer, and watch an emu being fed:

The deer were SO gentle, the children kept going back for more feed. The emu was a little more skittish and was a bit 'pecky' when it came to taking grapes from outstretched palms, so we didn't have a go at that.
This is Ellie at the meerkat enclosure:

I honestly think the children would have stayed all day, given half a chance!
